I’ve finally gotten my schedule at Homefix after chasing the store manager for weeks.

3 cheers to me!!

Nick was chatting with me few days back that Red Dynasty Paintball Park was hiring part timer to join their crew of paintball instructor/referees.

I jumped at that idea and immediately got down to typing my resume and emailing it to them.

The next day they replied and I was to go down for an interview.

When Me and Leo arrive we we greeted by a team of paintballers being brief by the instructor.

We were then introduced to this lady whom I found out later was also an ex-facilitator from RP.

During the interview I was constantly asked about my leadership skill and experience in organizing and interacting,  I manage to genuinely “smoke” through everything all thanks to my stint with Cyriva club :)

Basically I’ll be on probation like any other jobs out there so It’ll probably will be fun!!

My thoughs at the end of the day.

Working for the money and working for the passion is two different thing.

Although I have absolutely zero knowledge about paintball except for the basic rules and objective, I got a gut feeling this will be a regular sports for me in the near future. The  awesome gears, sweet sound of marker(gun) firing, watching dudes inflicting pain onto each other and working in sync with the other referees.

Pure pleasure..

Few months ago words were going around that the school was organizing a first of its kind trip to bring student oversea for piloting and control tower experience. I spoke to a Facilitator who told us that everything was in the process of planning but not finalized.

Two weeks ago the email finally came and I found out that only 25 students from my course would be chosen to be part of this program. I signed up anyway knowing that my chances were quite low.

Last night I checked my email and I saw the headings “Congratulations, you have been selected for the flying program”

WTF!!! wahahahaha me flying along side a pilot!! WOOHOO!!!!

Total amount spent on bike lessons and tests- $824.42

Total amount spent on the cab fares because I woke up late- $50

Times which I got scolded for not following road rules- Countless

Knowing that only 41 out of 90 riders in the group passed- Hopeless

Having your number called out among the 41 rider who passed.
PRICELESS

Screw you SSDC!!! I will not be seeing you for a long time.

R.I.P mr stickman July 27, 2008

My parents decided that we’re moving house soon.

But unlike blogs. We gotta revamped this house before the next lucky owner walks in to have a look.

Our full battle gear included

Titanium reinforce newspaper hat

AND!

Professional paint brush

Long contact with solvent based paints have been known to damage the neurological part of the brain.

I was painting and minding my own business when I notice a stick man jumping out of the paint bucket.

The next thing I knew, he climbed up the wall and did a somersault.

Bloody hell he even leaped to the adjacent wall.

Being the typical stickman, he jumped onto the nearest drawing he saw . Little did he know the Ipod was still fresh and wet. He lost his footing, fell over and got his head stucked in the window grills.

While I laugh the hell away… Chris painted over everything…

Damn you chrissssss……… i was about to remove his limbs with thinner one by one…

Troublesome chromosomes July 26, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — bennycan @ 3:19 pm

Happy super duper belated bday to Tracy!!!

Met up the old classmates at Hougang mall to get the present.

Ifelt so outcast when we were in the perfume shop.

Although they kept putting different sample strip to my nostril.

It all smelt the same to this X chromosome. Smells like girls…

Anyway “we” choose a bottle of Anna Sui.

I got to spend this 5 mins to teach alittle something to the X chromosomes out there.

This is life tips 101 for guys:

Ever had your girlfriend or if you would your mum ask you for opinions on say…. perfume, clothes or the taste of cake/pie?

Something along the line “eh Ben ah, nice anot this fluffy yellow dress?”

To a square thinking piece mass like me.

NO!!

Firstly it is not even practical to begin with.

Why must a piece of clothing has more holes then required for the human limb?

What!? the lesser the fabric the higher the price?

The colours and the prints!.I feel like I just stepped into a art museum.

BUT!!!

To speak your mind infront of all the fairer gender is to seal your own fate as a monk forever. To the gay readers nun would do fine :)

Well I got a fool prove way to both please your ladies and make life your much easier.

From this moment onwards, memorize a list of positive Adjective.

Examples:

-Lovely

-Beautiful

-Nice

-wonderful

-Sexy

-Delicious

-Slim

-sumptuous

The next time a girl throws you such questions again. Search your conscience, deep inside you know the truth to the question, to tell the truth you risk a sulky face but to NOT tell the truth you are a liar.

Remember the adjective you memorize earlier on?

Now is the time to use it.

If she is asking about food.

Bring out the food related adjective: nice, delicious, sumptuous

If she is asking about a dress.

Bring out the fashion related adjective: Slim, sexy, beautiful, wonderful.

There is so many way you can use these adjectives. You just got to know when to use what!

Some girls do agree with me on this theory as well.

Most girls do not really care for the truth, they just need a listening ear and assurance.

Not your logical reasoning.

Hmmm but then again imagine if the Y chromosomes starts behaving like X chromosomes and think logically and reason squarely.

The number one questions on my Buay Tahan list:

“Am I fat?”

This one is a unique question. No amount of adjective can save you:

Definately deliciously fat

Sumptuously fat

Beautifully fat

no no no it will not work trust me…

This is the only time where you turn off the soul of the human body and tell lies:

“No honey youre perfectly fine!”

“No dear youre just full figured”

“Of course if by Fat you means FUuuyoooo, Absolutely Thin!!”

huh?…

Crab party 2 with a little love. July 23, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — bennycan @ 4:53 pm

HELLO PEOPLE!!!

I’ve been dating Mr procrastination recently and things has been going well for us till we broke off recently.

So here I am!!

To kick start the first blog post of this virgin blog I shall continue where I left off.

Remember Melben seafood restaurant from Ang Mo Kio, the one where I had this huge juicy crab in cream based soup and thick chilli gravy?

Well…

It was the twin’s birthday and together with the gang and Fernandes family we celebrated by eating!!

Twin’s uncle happened to have a good friend who happens to be the owner of Crab party restaurant and it just happens that we decided to ring Uncle peter up and it also happens that we got invited for dinner with them.

Enough of the happening already.

Located just off Yio Chu Kang terrace road, this restaurant sits directly opposite Serangoon stadium

Yow its the best!

It started off with a little drinks..

A “little”.Those words never fail to amaze me.

Then slowly before we got drunk, the food started coming in.

La Jiao Pang Xie AKA Chilli crab(pork kunckle in the background)

The crab was huge and so was it’s proportionally huge nigger pincer..

Its all mine!! all mine!!!

Then there was the plate of assorted food which included:

-Fried squid

-Sweet and sour pork

-Some Ngor Hiam look-a-like roll

Fried grouper served with chilled mango slices.

Butter crab!! slurp!!

Peppery crabby!!!

Fried prawn which I forgotten what method it was cooked in.

Tasted like cereal prawn but definitely not.

Prawns were humongous but the flesh were succulent!

Fried rice that were was a little too spicy for me.

Curry prawn which was one of the many complimentary dish.

It was a new dish which we had the honour of tasting first hand!

A little sweet and extremely tangy taste. Perfect for me :)

To top it off we were presented with dessert!

Chilled coconut and pandan Kueh..

Not too sweet yet distinctive mild taste of Pandan.

After dinner we we drank a little more….

Drink it up and make a face!

Alittle too much and you become like this:

Zappin the owner of this restaurant checking melvin’s head for Kutus..

he’s just pouring drinks for us la…wahahahha

Melgay looking a little too happy…

Napolean Dynamite was there too.

After that we went on to the Fernandes homeground for more fun fun fun.

Endless singing on the guitar with dalry the stand by me boy and Matthew the “just wack only” singer.

Wasn’t as fun as it used to be but what the heck, the company was the whole point! plus the drink..

My mama once told me to live up to my name. Ong Bang Hao was my name.

Lao tian, God, Allah,Varumdo, it is 1.50am now. I need to sleep :(
